Everything You’d Want from a Country Inn. We had a fantastic stay from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we knew we’d chosen the right place thanks to the warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. Enjoying a beer and wine by the open fire was the perfect start to the evening. Dinner was superb — the homemade steak pie and pork chop were both absolutely delicious. Having everything added to a tab made checkout effortless. The room was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, with a powerful hot shower and an incredibly comfortable bed. We honestly couldn’t fault the place and would happily return.

We had the best time at The Plough Inn, we stayed in the gorgeous Scroll room and ate in the restaurant. Everything was perfect. The pub itself is wonderful, in a beautiful location, the staff were super, right from beginning to end and the food and room were excellent. We selected the red Rioja which was light and delicious. Also... breakfast included was the ultimate win. We will be back !!

Really quaint and quintessentially English inn. Staff were very helpful. Room was perfect. Food was exceptional. Rebooked as soon as we left for later in the year. Could not find one fault. There was even a great walk to do right next to the Inn.

Rooms not as clean as they should be. Hair around floor of bathroom, windows needing repairs and repainting and light fittings with different bulbs and brightness. Breakfast was sufficient but had no avocado even though one of the busiest times of the year. Cosy country pub but could do better on cleanliness and finishing even with low expectations for pub accommodation.

Two night stay and couldn't have been more perfect, gorgeous little Inn, lovely spotless room, delicious breakfast and evening meal, rural location with very little in immediate vicinity but perfect base for venturing out by car. Trudy, despite being virtually on her own due to staff sickness/annual leave was always smiling, engaging and tending to everyone's needs. Would definitely recommend !

My wife and l dropped in for a late lunch after visiting Kelmscott Manor - we booked a table on walking by before our visit. Very friendly landlord and efficient staff. Bar/Restaurant was full so glad we took the advice to book! Food was good quality and decent value for money. The ambience made the place. Would recommend and we will certainly return - and accept the challenge of parking when not using the car park of the manor! Worth considering for a quiet overnight, too.

Location for a family get together. We selected this venue due it's ratings and it didn't disappoint. Albeit situated in an out of the way small village, it was very busy for the time of year. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and the food was of excellent quality and prepared freshly to order. Maybe a tad on the expensive side, but that may be the Yorkshire coming out in me . Would strongly recommend it, and we'd definitely visit again if we were ever in the area again. Go on, give it a try!****

We had a wonderful meal at The Plough Inn. The gluten-free fish and chips were absolutely delicious – light, crispy, and full of flavour. The sea bream was perfectly cooked and so fresh, really impressive. The outdoor seating area is lovely too, a great spot to relax and enjoy the food. Highly recommend!

We had a pleasant stay overall. The room was standard but nice, very clean, and comfortable for what we needed. The breakfast service really stood out — excellent variety and great service from the staff. Everything was well organized and welcoming, making our stay easy and enjoyable. Would happily stay again.
